Summer Intern Spotlight | Sam Bibeau

Meet Our Newest Summer Intern: Sam Bibeau!

Sam is a rising senior studying Civil Engineering at the University of New Hampshire. He is eager to learn about every stage of project development, from initial designs to final construction, and to see how all our disciplines come together to create exceptional results.

Join us in giving Sam a warm welcome and stay tuned for updates on his journey with Sebago Technics!

How did you become interested in your field of study?

I have always loved the process of designing and building something. Civil engineering allows me to do exactly that within my local community, which I think is pretty cool!

What inspired you to pursue an internship at Sebago Technics, and what are you hoping to achieve during your time here?

My parents have worked with Sebago Technics through their business, and always had a great experience. When I learned that Sebago has a great internship program, I was very excited for the opportunity to work with some of the amazing people I had heard about. Through this internship, the main thing I would like to learn is if this were a career I would like to pursue. And so far, I have really been enjoying my time here.

How do you envision leveraging your academic background and prior experiences to contribute meaningfully to our projects and teams?

I am curious, hard-working, and willing to help wherever I can. I am hoping the skills I have learned in school and at my previous internship have provided me with a basic understanding of the projects here.

Do you have any exciting summer plans?

I hope to spend lots of time golfing, fishing, and mountain biking. I am also going to see Zach Bryan in concert, for which I am really excited.

As you embark on your journey with us, what specific skills or knowledge areas are you eager to develop or deepen through this internship opportunity?

I am hoping to grow my understanding of what it takes to complete a project, starting with the initial designs all the way until construction and completion. I know that there are a lot of different people that contribute to a project, and I would like a get a sample of what each of those people do.
