Meet Sally Thompson, CAD Technician/Administrative Assistant, who joined our growing team when we acquired Sawyer Engineering & Surveying back in 2020. When she’s not in the office, Sally enjoys hiking, biking, outdoor and wildlife photography, and designing houses.

What inspired you to work for Sebago Technics?
I was excited to have the opportunity to continue with Sebago Technics when Sawyer Engineering & Surveying came on board.
What is your favorite part of the type of work that you do?
I fell in love with board drafting, designing houses, and drawing in high school. I have been lucky enough to find employment opportunities to continue and learn computer aided drafting.
What was the most unusual or interesting job you had before Sebago?
I worked for Yankee Microwave with the IRS Border Patrol, designing and installing cameras, towers & platforms to keep our borders safe from terrorists and threats.
What are your hobbies outside the office?
Hiking, biking, outdoor and wildlife photography and designing houses.
Favorite thing to do in Maine?
Sit at the lake at my camp listening to the loons.
Top three life highlights?
- My 3 sons
- Getting a college degree
- Buying a house, while being single mom
What is your hidden talent?
My way with animals.
If you were an animal, what would you be?
A dog.
Where would you like to go on a dream vacation?
Alaska or Australia.
Favorite Holiday:
4th of July with family and fireworks with grandkids.
What is the best concert you attended?
KISS, their last concert with make-up the night before New Year’s Eve.
Favorite place(s) to go in Maine?
Wildlife Animal Park, Bailey’s Island, and Acadia Park.
