I grew up in Lewiston, ME, lived in Fairbanks, AK, and have traveled extensively throughout the US.

Favorite place(s) to go in Maine?

Rangeley Lakes region, Bar Harbor-Acadia, Baxter State Park, and Moosehead Lake.

What three traits define you?

Honest, loyal, and I try to be a “good listener”.

What was your very first job, and what did you learn from it?

Delivering newspapers for the Lewiston Sun Journal starting at 12 years old. Montello Hill is one of the steeper roads in Lewiston.  Starting at the base with a fresh 30-40 lbs. of newspapers every day definitely helped form my work ethic. I also rode my sting ray bike year-round in snow, rain etc. to deliver the papers, which if for nothing else, taught me to de a decent cyclist.

What is your favorite part of the type of work that you do?

The variety of talented people I’ve met and become friends with, as well as the diverse projects I’ve been fortunate to be a part of over my career.

What was your journey like to get where you are?

Interesting and nontraditional.

What are your hobbies outside the office?

Biking, hiking, XC skiing, still running occasionally, traveling, reading, sports, listening to music, and attending shows.

Top three life highlights?

  1. Being at the birth of my two children Nicholas and Melissa, reading to them nightly, and attending as many events that they were involved with through their formative years.
  2. Hiking and climbing Half-Dome in Yosemite National Park with my son Nick and running a half marathon and several Beach to Beacon road races with my daughter Melissa.
  3. Running the Mt. Washington road race and finishing half pack.

A dog. They are friendly, loyal, and fun.

Fall is my favorite season in Maine, so combine that with family and good food, which makes Thanksgiving my favorite holiday.

What are your favorite ways to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family?

Hiking and walking trails and I hope to be boating by next summer.

What is the best concert you attended?

That’s a loaded question because I’ve been to hundreds of concerts. Having said that, I’ll go with BB King at the Merrill Auditorium in Portland with my young family.  A then unknown Ray “Charles” Lamontagne with Lewiston roots (He subsequently deleted the “Charles”) opened for BB playing solo guitar and was howling like a wolf. He received lots of boos from the audience that night. Not from me by the way… As we were leaving the Merrill, my family and I crossed paths with BB as he was boarding his tour bus. I still remember that moment. It was gold.

When you think about working at Sebago Technics, what makes you proudest or most excited?

I’m excited to meet and work with people I’ve never worked with before and I am truly humbled to be a part of the Sebago Technics Team.
