Sebago Technics partnered with Patriot Acura to design and develop their newest dealership in Scarborough, Maine. This high-profile project, situated at a prominent intersection near the I-95 exit, began in 2017 and was completed in October 2024. Our comprehensive services included survey, environmental assessment, civil engineering and design, transportation planning, landscape architecture, and 3D visualization modeling.
The project’s location at a key intersection in Scarborough presented unique challenges, requiring the utilization of all our disciplines to ensure success. Given the site’s prominence, property boundaries and easements were crucial considerations. A detailed soil analysis revealed the need for a 90-day minimum preload of material to compact the soil and prevent uneven settling in the future. The site design was carefully crafted to not only showcase the building, but also address the Town’s concerns regarding proper buffering, signage, and materials.
To alleviate community concerns and create compelling marketing materials for our client, Sebago’s VDC team created lifelike 3D renderings of the site. These visualizations played a pivotal role in gaining project approval and generating excitement for the new dealership. Throughout the process, we worked closely with key partners including Jewett Construction Co., who led the construction efforts, and Grondin Corporation, who managed the earthwork. PRAXIS3 served as the project architect.
Sebago Technics’ multifaceted approach and meticulous attention to detail has been instrumental in transforming this challenging site into a state-of-the-art dealership. Our team’s expertise in navigating complex regulatory requirements, addressing community concerns, and delivering innovative design solutions has ensured that the new Patriot Acura dealership will not only meet our client’s needs, but also enhance the local landscape, setting a new standard for automotive retail spaces in the region.
