Corner Post Land Surveying was established in 1990 by Dana A. Libby as a land surveying firm in Springvale. Over the last 30 years, the firm has grown to become one of Southern Maine’s premier land surveying and land consulting firms. With a primary focus on boundary and topographic surveys, the firm provides additional services including:
- Subdivision Design and Approvals,
- Construction Layout,
- Municipal GIS Mapping Solutions, and
- CAD Drafting Services.
Corner Post Land Surveying works with private landowners, businesses, local governments, and many other private and public organizations. Mr. Libby will continue with the business serving clients for the next year.
Mark Adams, President and CEO of Sebago Technics stated, “The acquisition of Corner Post Land Surveying, its excellent employees and valued clients provides an expanded opportunity for Sebago Technics in the fast-growing York County-Southern ME/NH Seacoast and Southern New Hampshire region. Sebago’s collective of land development professionals looks forward to providing our multi-discipline services to property owners, businesses, developers, organizations, and local governments throughout the region. Building on the excellent work and reputation of Corner Post, its founder Dana Libby and its employees, the combined entities are excited to support local growth and development with local, experienced professionals. #ShapingTogether”
For Corner Post and Owner/Founder Dana Libby, PLS, the sale is a means of ownership, client, and employee succession to assure that all are transitioned to a respected and like-minded company.
Dana Libby noted, “On behalf of our employees and clients I am thrilled in becoming part of Sebago Technics. I have known and worked with Sebago and its employees for many years and believe that they share Corner Post’s commitment to our customers and quality consulting services. Clients can expect the same great service by the same people now with the added expertise of Sebago’s 100+ employee-owners.” Mr. Libby will continue to work out of the Springvale office in support of clients and in growing Sebago’s opportunities in the area.
For Sebago, the acquisition is a strategic opportunity to add both talented professionals, an expanded client base, and a focused presence in the York County area. In Maine, York County is second only to Cumberland County in population, gross domestic output, income, and home sales. In addition, the Springvale/Sanford location will serve as a good base for new and existing clients in Maine’s southern seacoast, greater Portsmouth-Kittery, and southern New Hampshire. Clients and projects will benefit from Sebago’s services in areas such as site/civil engineering, landscape architecture, traffic/transportation engineering, geomatics/reality capture, UAS photogrammetry 3D modeling, construction inspection, and environmental services. The result will be greater opportunities for Sebago, its employee-owners, and clients. The company will operate as Corner Post Land Surveying – a division of Sebago Technics, keeping a familiar name and well-earned reputation alive.
Sebago Technics, a 100% employee-owned company, offers businesses, developers, landowners, and public agencies services in engineering, surveying-geomatics, land planning, permitting, development, and construction of projects throughout Maine and Northern New England.
