What three traits define you?

Lifelong learner, knowledgeable, and nice

What was your very first job, and what did you learn from it?

Greenskeeper – Webhannet Golf Club. Taught me the satisfaction of a hard day’s work in all types of beautiful Maine weather.

What is your favorite part of the type of work that you do?

Knowing that I am part of a team creating something in the landscape that will outlast me.

What was your journey like to get where you are?

Not linear. This is a second career for me. Wouldn’t change a thing.

What are your hobbies outside the office?

Cooking, grilling/smoking, hiking, going to the beach (off season is best). Going to the woods. Brewing (Half Mash) beer and wine.

What inspired you to work for Sebago Technics?

Watching some of the good work that Sebago has done over the past 5 years and finally deciding to take a chance and join the team here.

Favorite thing to do in Maine?

Too many to list. I’m learning about new stuff all the time.

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

How about cuisine? Portuguese food and wine (lots of wine).

Top three life highlights?

  • Traveling for the first time abroad for one semester in England.
  • Traveling to Portugal six times. Meeting my wife (which facilitated the need to go to Portugal because Wife’s familia live there).
  • The birth of my daughter, Izabela, of course.

Do you have a hidden talent? If so, tell us about it!

I’ve been told that I can wiggle my ears.

If you were an animal, what would you be and why?

Some kind of bird. I can only imagine how much freedom the ability to fly must allow.

Where would you like to go on a dream vacation?

Still haven’t been to the Azores.

Favorite Holiday and why?

Thanksgiving. Not as drawn out and less expectations as Christmas. But still great food and visiting with family. Of course, now that I get to cook the whole meal.

What is the best concert you attended?

Playing with my high school band at ‘P3’, a club in Biddeford back in the 90’s. (not a public, private, partnership – as it means to us now) but whenever I hear someone say ‘P3’ now, my head goes immediately to that night.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.

I played keyboards in a rock band in high school and had a full head of long blonde hair past my shoulders.

What are your favorite ways to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family?

Eating, drinking, grilling, or just taking a nice walk.

When you think about working at Sebago Technics, what makes you proudest or most excited?

All potential possibilities to be realized by designing some awesome landscapes.
